 Holistic Therapies Ireland encompasses my own personal journey in the world of Complementary Therapies, including a wonderful range of treatments I offer my clients, as well as Holistic Therapy courses available.
I became interested in Complementary Therapies in the early 1990's when I lived in San Francisco and began by studying Swedish Massage. I then spent six months at the Vega Institute in Northern California studying Macrobiotic cooking (a form of cooking originating in Japan which aims to balance the energy in food and the meals we eat with the belief that simplicity is the key to optimal health). Since my return to Ireland in the mid 1990's I have continued with my learning and studies of a wide range of therapies, all of which I practice from both my beautiful treatment room and within a variety of locations on a day to day basis. I also work as a Freelance Therapist, making it easier for people who find it difficult to leave their home in order to receive a treatment.
In my day to day work I deal with a variety of clients, including adults and children with Intellectual and Physical Disabilities, clients in recovery from drug addiction, clients with Multiple Sclerosis and spinal injuries and the elderly including clients with Alzheimers. I love what I do for a living and it gives me great joy to see the positive changes being made in the lives and health of alot of my clients.
As well as practicing as a Therapist, I also teach Diploma courses in Indian Head Massage and assist my sister Mary (www.head2toemassage.co.uk) with teaching courses in Facial Rejuvenation, Ayurvedic Foot Massage, Natural Facials and Hopi Ear Candling.
My own personal philosophy is simple, I firmly believe that our health and vitality is as a result of us looking after our bodies, both inside and out.....
